We will accompany you on your way and help you with all questions relating to your start-up.
However, as we are not always on site in person or in consultations, we have open consultation hours.
During this time, you can simply come to us in the GründerCube or alternatively you can write to us and make an appointment with us outside of office hours.
Whether in an informal initial meeting, at the start-up office or during an individual consultation – we will accompany you on the path to founding your start-up.
Every university member from students to scientists and alumni are welcome to join us.
And importantly: our start-up advice is free of charge for you and data protection is a top priority.
In the initial consultation, you tell us about your start-up idea, which we will treat confidentially and discuss with you.
We at GründerCube will show you a possible way to start a business, which we can support you with our start-up advice.
Following the consultation, you will receive a wide range of information about setting up a business, company management, financing, etc.
In addition to the weekly Gründungskontor appointments, you can also receive individual start-up advice from us.
We will work with you to develop your business model using the Business Model Canvas, support you with market analysis, the development of customer acquisition and retention, financial planning and much more. We accompany you professionally until your start-up.
If you want to develop a realistic prototype from your abstract idea within 5 days, you should take part in the Ideas Sprint.
You will get a very good feeling for how your idea, the new product or the new service will perform on the market and what you might need to adapt.

In the Gründungskontor you will receive the most important knowledge for a successful business start-up in 10 weekly sessions.

There are various financing options to help you finance your start-up, for example via business angels or banks.
The KfW, for example, supports start-ups with various loans.
Talk to us and we will be happy to put you in touch with our partner companies.
They will provide you with all the necessary information.

If you have not yet founded a company and have an innovative, technology-oriented or knowledge-based idea, the following grants may also be of interest to you.
If you have not yet founded a company, the Schleswig-Holstein start-up grant may be an option for you.
You will receive funding for up to 12 months and can prepare your start-up in peace.

If you have a research-intensive start-up project and still have complex and risky development work ahead of you, the EXIST Transfer of Research funding program may be an option for you.
In two funding phases, you will receive funding to advance your development work, prepare your start-up, establish it and finally start your business activities.
Funding phase 1 (funding period 18 months)
What is the goal?
You will further develop your research results until you can prove their technical feasibility and develop a prototype. You will also draw up a business plan and then set up the company.

The costs for student assistants and material costs are generally only eligible for funding up to a total of € 250,000.
Funding phase 2
What is the goal?
In funding phase 1, the university submits the application, while in funding phase 2, the newly founded company submits the application.
Important: Project outlines can be submitted from January 1 to January 31 and from July 1 to July 31 of a calendar year.
