Last week, together with many partners, start-up teams, university representatives and companions, we celebrated the opening of expandAI at the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck – a place where ideas become real innovations.
This is because expandAI GmbH is northern Germany’s leading AI engineering firm, which helps companies to improve their processes, services and products in a targeted manner using data-based AI (machine learning). As a deep-tech spin-off of the University of Lübeck, we at GründerCube have been supporting the expandAI team for years and were delighted to be able to celebrate the opening of the location together with the three founders – Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marcin Grzegorzek, Artur Piet and David Piet – the team and guests such as Dirk Schrödter, Prof. Dr. Helge Braun and Dr. Frank Schröder-Oeynhausen.
Congratulations, expandAI! We are proud of you – and convinced that many more successful start-ups will follow this example at the HIC Lübeck.
The inspiring speech by GründerCube director Claudia Linde and her co-managing director of Hanse Innovation Campus GmbH Julia Sarre quickly made it clear that the potential is there: the GründerCube is more than just a space. It is a place of making, connecting and shaping – supported by an interdisciplinary network that supports founders from the initial idea to the spin-off. We believe that great ideas are not born alone, but through exchange, diversity and genuine cooperation. This is exactly what we stand for – with a location right in the heart of the campus, between the University of Lübeck and Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, between research, business and practice.
